GIVING BACK

bringing joy

hampers.com is on a mission to be a brand which places emphasis on purpose, not purely on profitability.

Through supporting our charity partner, and being an active member of our local Oxfordshire community, we endeavour to give our time, resources, and funds as forces for good.

Our charity partner

So many exceptional charities exist and do wonderful work, but we were keen to select a charity which would offer the opportunity to create a true, long-term partnership, where we can make a tangible difference.

Aspire was the perfect fit in terms of both Oxfordshire locality, and alignment of values. We are building meaningful ways to raise funds for the charity, via team activities, through workshops, and through sales. We’re creating a brand-new gift hamper inspired by the charity, profits from which will go to Aspire. And, we have we have begun to develop deeper links with Aspire which will enable us to provide more value to the people who benefit from their programmes.

A charity committee has been created at hampers.com HQ, Milton Park, where staff from our offices and warehouses have joined together to devise plans to support Aspire. Our whole team is excited to bring these plans to life throughout 2022 and beyond!

About Aspire

Established in 2001, Aspire has now been tackling the most complex social issues in Oxfordshire for 20+ years. They support local people into and towards employment and housing, as the most powerful way to break the complex cycles of homelessness, re-offending and poverty, through a unique enterprise model.

Aspire runs social businesses which offer professional services to local businesses, academic institutions and private customers, working with companies like hampers.com, who take their social responsibility seriously; who understand that they don’t have to choose between doing good, and doing good business.

In 2019 Aspire launched an inclusive recruitment service, known today as Hire2Inspire, working to create meaningful employment opportunities whilst supporting local businesses to meet their recruitment needs through coaching, workshops and in-work support.

Aspire's businesses don't just provide class leading professional services: they also offer life-changing work experience and employment opportunities to the individuals they support. Alongside this, Employment and Development Workers provide these individuals with intensive 121 support designed to break down multiple barriers to employment. Together, this is a powerful approach that helps hundreds of highly disadvantaged people achieve their own change.

Our community

Food Banks

We are proud to say that we manage to keep our waste to a bare minimum. If we ever end up with excess stock that we are unable to use, we donate it directly to local food banks and homeless shelters to help our community in need, including the Oxford Food Bank and the Didcot Emergency Food Bank.

Last Christmas alone we donated 600kgs of excess food stock to the Oxford Food Bank, which we know will have made Christmas a little brighter for families and individuals in need.

Didcot Casual Girls Football Team

We are proud to sponsor girls football at Didcot Casuals Football Club, located just a couple of miles away from the hampers.com headquarters in Milton Park and running more than 20 youth girls and boys teams.
