Creating Nature’s Corridors was founded by entrepreneur and friend of hampers.com, Vhari Russell, whose passion for the natural world was deepened by a personal loss. In 2018, Vhari’s brother, Rory, tragically passed away from Sudden Adult Death Syndrome at the age of 37. Rory, a skilled carpenter, worked with green oak to make beautiful structures, and his love for the outdoors paralleled Vhari’s own appreciation for nature.
Determined to create a meaningful legacy for her brother, Vhari established Creating Nature’s Corridors to plant trees and hedges, restoring natural habitats and counteracting the effects of urban development. Since its inception, the charity has made remarkable progress, having completed 42 projects and planted over 31,000 trees and hedges across the UK, in the past year alone.
Creating Nature’s Corridors have an ambitious goal to help to reforest some of the least wooded areas in the country, starting with Cambridgeshire.
