"Chocolate with a wild side"
- Seed and Bean
The Producer
Chocolate that cares
Seed and Bean was founded in June 2005 with the idea to create an ethical range of confectionery. The focus was on always using organic ingredients, using small-scale suppliers and being brave and wild with flavours - as they say it's "chocolate with a wild side".
Seed and Bean chocolate is not only about great taste and flavours. They are also proud advocates of fairtrade. Plus, they are committed to being plastic free and using compostable packaging, including the foil interior wrapping. In fact, they were the first UK chocolate brand to have 100% compostable packaging.
The Products
Great tasting organic ingredients
First and foremost, Seed and Bean pride themselves on their range of flavours.
They have always made sure to be challenging with their choice of flavour combinations, to create something different. And it works, as proven by their many Great Taste Awards.
The production facility is deliberately small, with a batch size of just 45 litres. This is not mass-produced chocolate.
There are 18 flavours to choose from which are "English botanically inspired, adventurous and unique" . There is something for everyone, including a vegan range.
Seed and Bean is also 100% organic and all products are ethically sourced and handmade in England.
We are delighted to offer a bar of Seed and Bean single origin dark chocolate in our River Cottage Hamper. The hamper is a a really special, organic seasonal feasting hamper to be enjoyed over the coming winter months.
