Grandma Wild's story began in 1899 in the seaside town of Morecambe, where Annie Wild juggled running a bakery shop, a boarding house, and raising three young boys.
Her eldest son, John, shared her passion for baking but longed to return to their Yorkshire roots. So, in 1920, the family opened a bakery in the Yorkshire villlage of Haworth, the home of the Brontë sisters.
Haworth was the family bakery’s home for decades and became a place where Annie Wild’s unique biscuit recipes were both perfected and celebrated. As the business expanded into the new millennium, the bakery was passed down the generations and moved to its purpose-built site in Steeton, West Yorkshire.
Despite its growth, Grandma Wild’s remains true to its roots, baking with the same traditional recipes that Annie Wild perfected over a century ago. Four generations later, each bake is a testament to the enduring charm of Grandma Wild’s original recipes.
