The Balvenie Doublewood is a 12-year-old single malt.

This scotch gains its distinctive character from being matured in not one, but two wood types.

Throughout maturation, it is transferred from a traditional oak whisky cask to a first-fill European oak sherry cask.

These two stages give the whisky different qualities. Firstly, the traditional casks soften and add character. Then, secondly, the sherry wood brings depth and fullness of flavour.

Built in 1892, and distilling since 1893, The Balvenie has a rich history and connection with its location in Speyside. It's also a modern, innovative and forward-looking distillery. Their Malt Master, Kelsey McKechnie, appointed in 2023 is one of the youngest women in the world to hold one of the rarest professions.
